This US Sailing Sanctioned International Offshore Safety at Sea course includes a full day of hands-on training, including in-the-water exercises and sessions on Flares, Fire Fighting, Crew Overboard Rescue, Heavy Weather Sailing, Distress Communications and Damage Control. The moderator and course curriculum are certified by US Sailing. Upon successful completion of both the in-person and online portions of the course, you will receive a certificate via email in approximately 7-10 days. The cost for this certificate is included in the registration fee.
Participants MUST complete the separate online prerequisite course and provide their certificate of completion before attending. Please email your certificate of completion to sailing@mbyc.com. You can log in and log out at your convenience to complete the online portion.
- If you will be receiving your Safety at Sea certificate for the first time, you must complete the 15-module online portion. Course topics and registration information can be found HERE.
- If you are a sailor looking to refresh/recertify your international Safety at Sea certification you must complete a 5-module online portion. Course topics and registration information can be found HERE. US Sailing Members receive a discount.

In this course you will practice as you play! Plan to bring your foul weather gear, safety gear, PFD with crotch straps, tether, a towel, change of clothes and a bag for your things.
